The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) offers the Interdisciplinary Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme in the field of Geoinformatics, organized by the NTUA Schools of (a) Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering (Co-ordinating School), (b) Electrical and Computer Engineering, and (c) Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.

The Programme aims to empower engineers and other university graduates with specialized expertise in Geoinformatics, an ever evolving and interdisciplinary field. Its core revolves around the vast potential of geospatial data, addressing the collection, georeferencing, interpretation, mapping, management and understanding of information related to our natural, artificial and socio-economic environments. Furthermore, it delves into spatial analysis and planning, along with the development of various geospatial applications using cutting-edge methods and technologies, particularly within the field of Informatics.

The Postgraduate Programme, with a duration of studies of three academic semesters, leads to the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies – Master of Science in Geoinformatics, and is equivalent to 90 ECTS.

The MSc is awarded after the successful attendance and examination of 8 courses (4 core and 4 specialization courses) in the first two semesters, and the elaboration and successful presentation of the Master’s thesis in the third semester.

As of the academic year 2024-2025, the language of instruction is English.
